Natalie Lea Owen is a surface pattern designer who started her own independent brand in 2015 inspired by her love for illustration, bold patterns and contemporary colour.

After graduating in 2014 with a first class degree in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design from the wonderful Leeds College of Art, Natalie exhibited at the New Designers show in London where she met lots of great contacts and began her freelance journey.

She worked with Hallmark Cards to produce a range for the β€˜Waitrose Graduation Collection’ that was later expanded to a collection of ceramic mugs too. These were sold in Waitrose stores nationwide and when Natalie saw her illustrative designs on products in her local high street for the first time, it sparked ideas to start her own creative business. She then got in touch with The Prince’s Trust who helped her make this dream a reality!

All products are designed by Natalie in her London studio and are very proudly printed and manufactured in the UK. Natalie works full time on her creative business and is involved in every process, from designing her website to packing and processing wholesale orders and enjoys building personal relationships with her customers, stockists and suppliers.

Natalie exhibited at her first UK trade show in January 2017 and her products are now stocked internationally in stores including Fenwicks, Museum of London, The National Archives and We Built This City.
