So, last week I immersed myself in all things psychedelic to get inspired for the “Right On!” competition brief from the Textile Federation. My work has always been inspired by 1960s and 70s music posters and graphic design so I was really excited to get designing.
I started drawing in black ink and then scanned all my drawings in to start building up the composition. Then I printed out a basic layout and worked back into the design, filling in the gaps. And lastly, I dragged all the imagery into illustrator to create a technical repeat pattern tile.
